Hello, from
Stillwater Disc Golf
Welcome to Stillwater, home of four great 18-hole disc golf courses! Disc golf has been around in Stillwater since the 1983 when the town's first baskets entered the earth at Boomer Lake. It remained as a low-key passtime for those educated enough to understand the sport for decades. However, with the recent growth in popularity of the sport thank to Covid-19, Stillwater is quickly becoming a disc golfing hotspot across Oklahoma.
Since Stillwater hosts the OSU campus, which now has their own disc golf club, you will find no shortage of golfers spread amongst the two in-town courses, Boomer Lake and Hoyt Grove. You will find a majority of players prefer the wooded fairways of Hoyt Grove, but do not underestimate the mental boost that a sunset over Boomer Lake can provide. For a dedicated day of hiking and disc golfing, look no further than a fifteen minute drive to Lake McMurtry, which hosts two beautifully maintained courses and miles of trails.
Hoyt Grove
Hoyt Grove Park was established in 0000 by PERSON and is a staple in the Stillwater Disc Golf community. A moderately wooded course, Hoyt is a local favorite for minis and tournaments alike.
Boomer Lake
Boomer Lake Park is known for its long open holes and its water carry on hole 7. With downhill bombers, touchy greens, and constant wind off the lake, Boomer is sure to test your skills.
Lake McMurtry
Lake McMurtry Park hosts two 18 hole courses on its property. There is a $6 fee per vehicle to enter the park, but its well maintained fairways and challenging blind tee shots will challenge even the best local pros.
Home to the
Stillwater Disc Golf Club
The Stillwater Disc Golf Club is a group of avid disc golfers in the mid Oklahoma region. We host 1-2 mini tournaments a week, and 2-3 PDGA approved C-tier and B-tier tournaments. The SDGC has been around almost as long as disc golf has in Stillwater, and works in hand with the City to help upkeep and maintain our beautiful courses.
Up until now, the SDGC's online presence has been contained to a Facebook Group. We post information about local events and tournaments as well as a place to discuss local happenings in the disc golf scene. Most commonly, you'll find lost and found discs, discussion about tournmanets, and of course, the occasional photo of a community member posing next to a basket with a "1" after accomplishing an ace.
If you're new to the Stillwater area, or are just looking for cool people to play disc golf with, join the SDGC today!
